Overall Rating
Should be fine for kids aged 6 - 9 and older, generally suitable for most ages, including adults. Wild variety of videos that shouldn’t upset or offend anyone. Overall decent content to watch.
Suitability Rating
I think MrBeast tries to create content that’s universal. For me I’d say he’s suitable for children aged 6 - 9 and older. Younger kids won’t be interested but he has wide appeal so don’t be surprised if you’re older kids like his content too.
His content varies wildly but a lot of it has good intentions. He likes to give huge amounts of money away to people either through being charitable or via cleverly devised challenges where people are put through their paces, often over long periods. Other content is him doing challenges where he spends time, usually 7 days trapped somewhere, like in a coffin, desert islands or solitary confinement. Like I say, a totally mixed bag, but I’ve not come across anything that’s likely to offend anyone.
When my daughter has his videos on, I find myself watching to the end as they can be quite interesting and thought provoking.
Annoyance Rating
Given that MrBeast is one of the biggest YouTubers on the planet, it’s refreshingly surprising that he’s not got the “YouTuber Voice”. Given the guy’s young age he carries himself very well in his videos. He’s not annoying at all. As a parent you’ve likely seen some of his videos. Whilst I wouldn’t choose to watch any of his content, I also wouldn’t leave the room if he was on.
Merchandise and Sponsorships
MrBeast has an official merchandise website under mrbeast dot store where you can buy the usual clothes and accessories such as caps and footballs etc. MrBeast will usually advertise one of his own products such as his range of chocolate bars called Feastables (feastables dot com and uk dot feastables dot com for UK) Although i’m pretty sure these will be sold out wherever you go.
There are also sponsors in most of his videos, can’t blame him though - the videos must cost so much to make.
