Is SML / Jeffy suitable for children?

Puppet based, adult themed. Don’t let your younger kids watch it.

Only suitable for adults, very strong adult themes. I have a feeling younger kids will be watching this type of stuff. At the very least 13+. However, going back to when I was in my early teens, I remember when South Park came out and every kid was watching it, including myself. Just don’t let your younger kids watch it.

Suitability Rating

Where do I start? The closest thing I can relate SML / Jeffy to is South Park. It’s puppets acting out scenes with VERY ADULT content. By this I mean there’s uncensored swearing, very strong adult themes, innuendo, the whole 9 yards. If you’ve seen South Park before, it’s very similar, but I’d say there's a stronger sexual theme to it. I’d even go as far to say it's worse in terms of kids viewing it. E.g. South Park had adult themes, but Jeffy blows them out the water for it.

I can say this with confidence that SML / Jeffy is absolutely not suitable for kids, but what annoys me is that I can’t help but feel it’s somewhat marketed to kids. Puppets for a start isn’t exactly screaming adult content, plus the video thumbnails do nothing to suggest it's for adults either, although some of the title’s give away what’s in store for you.

To keep this review balanced, if you’re watching as an adult, there’s some merit to the content they produce, If you like South Park, then you might actually like SML / Jeffy, like I said, it’s littered with adult themes and I guess some of the things they talk about / do can be funny. It’s just not for kids.

Annoyance Rating

If puppets being extremely filthy minded are your thing then SML / Jeffy should be right up your street. I’ve gotta stress this isn’t your normal YouTube content that your kids watch. There’s no YouTuber Voice, it’s just people with puppets talking. It’s not annoying, but it’s also not suitable for kids.

SML / Jeffy does have a merchandise store at smlmerch dot com where they sell puppets, plushies, clothes and other accessories that relate to Jeffy and his crew. Although as a parent I wouldn’t recommend you get your kids anything from here.
