Really annoying for parents
Suitability - 4/5
Early learning content, should be fine
Ryan’s World is the main channel, however there is also a channel called “Kaji Family” which also has similar content but also features Ryan’s younger sisters too.
Overall Rating
Can be really annoying to watch or even listen to as a parent, but the content is aimed at early learning and should be fine for kids aged 3 - 5 years old.
Suitability Rating
Suitability wise, there's nothing really to worry about with Ryan’s World. A lot of the things are him and his parents doing science experiments, going on holiday / vacation and doing vlog style videos. Playing games, such as hide and seek and escaping from challenge rooms. Just kids stuff really. A criticism of the channel could be that it’s heavily monetised. So be prepared for you kids to ask for his toys. More on that in the Merchandise section.
Ryan’s World is suitable for 3 - 5 year olds. I can’t see anyone older being interested in this channel. In the process of writing this review, I checked out the channel and Ryan has gotten older and I’m surprised he’s still making the same style videos, which if I’m honest he’s way too old for now. They’ve obviously found a cash cow and are milking it for everything.
Annoyance Rating
Ryan’s world scores pretty high on annoyance. Ryan has the “Youtuber voice” but in the videos my daughter has watched has been him as a young kid. Think of it as a toned down version of that. If anything I found his mother more annoying. She has a high pitched and often whiney voice. I have memories of her saying “agitate” quite a lot when doing science experiments. It’s stir, no one says agitate! Ryan can be a bit loud and shout, but it's nowhere near as bad as some other channels.
Merchandise
As I mentioned above, Ryan’s World is heavily monetised. There were often whole videos dedicated to Ryan playing with toys from his own toy range. These are also often pushed in other videos too. There’s also mobile phone / tablet games as well. I’ve played a few of these with my daughter and they are generally fine.
