Is Ryan Trahan suitable for children?

Ryan has another channel under the name of @rytrahan. This isn’t his main channel and it looks as though he doesn’t upload there very often. He promotes Sour Strips candy on some of his videos.

Overall Rating

Something different for your kids and even adults to watch. Not annoying at all and should be suitable for kids aged 6 - 9 and older. 

Suitability Rating

Ryan Trahan is suitable for kids aged 6 - 9 and older. I’d go as far as saying they are suitable for all ages, however I don’t think any kids younger than 5 would really be interested.

I’d say his videos are quite different from all the other generic content mills out there, My daughter randomly put one of his videos on where he visits 1 star hotels and stays the night and reviews them. I watched the whole thing through. 

So far I’ve seen a lot of travel based content and all of them have been perfectly fine, no swearing, innuendo or tricky subjects to discuss with your kids.

He does have another genre of videos called the “Penny Series” where he starts off with one penny and has to sell things to make more money to reach an objective. Both me and my daughter have enjoyed watching these. He’s put in some awkward situations and I can feel the 2nd hand cringe. Overall decent content!

Annoyance Rating

Honestly, this guy is a breath of fresh air! Why? Because there’s no YouTuber Voice! Finally a person who doesn’t shout, scream, has endless amounts of energy or needs to act all dramatic for no good reason. This is how content creators should be like. It's just him talking to the camera or narrating what’s going on. There are lots of quick cuts where the scene changes a lot within a few seconds. I don’t like that type of thing, but I’ll let it pass given that he’s not screaming all the time. For that reason I score Ryan Trahan as not annoying at all.

Merchandise

Ryan Trahan does have merchandise. From what I’ve seen he’s in collaboration with the brand Joyride Sweets. He’s working with them to create / promote a product called Sour Strips. He claims that they have no artificial colours and aren’t full of junk ingredients. Now I’m not an expert when it comes to food nutrition, but sweets are sweets. Enjoy in moderation!
