Should be fine for most kids aged 6 - 9 and older
MaxCraft creates Minecraft videos that are very long. Most of them are at least 40 minutes in length. Bear that in mind if you’ve set a time limit for your kids screen time. You might get grumpy kids if you’ve cut them off half way through!
Overall Rating
MaxCraft’s videos are all based around the game Minecraft. You have to applaud the really high quality of the videos he makes. They are all story based and follow the theme of “I survived 100 days as…”. The videos on average are over 40 minutes long and he must really put a lot of effort into them. I have no issues with my daughter watching his content.
Suitability Rating
I would say that MaxCraft is suitable for most age ranges, however I'd say 6 - 9 years and older is the most suitable. Although as parents you won’t find anything scary, younger kids might due to some themes of his videos. To give an example, the title of one video is “I Survived 100 Days as EVIL DRILLMAN in HARDCORE Minecraft!” The Evil Drillman, being this giant machine like being with a drill bit for a head that screams / shrieks.
I learned from my daughter that something I’d pay no attention to, might actually be a bit scary for them. So one to bear in mind, especially if your kids are 5 or younger.
Overall generally fine for most audiences, although I’d question if your kids will watch them all to the end, given that they can be very long (40 mins+).
Annoyance Rating
The only thing I have to comment on is his voice. It’s not your typical “Youtuber voice”, in fact it’s quite the opposite. It's well paced and not really energetic at all. If anything it’s a little monotonous. Dare I say that it could probably do with a little more energy. Given that his videos are very long, his voice can become a bit boring after a while.
However I’m happy to say that voice aside, I don’t find MaxCraft annoying at all.
